The Yancheng Luoyang Expressway, abbreviated as Yanluo Expressway, starts from the south of Cangji Town in Yanghe New District and ends at the east of Sihong West Interchange in Sihong County Economic Development Zone. The total length of the route is 38.18 kilometers, with an investment of about 5.856 billion yuan. The entire line has three toll stations in Sihong North, Yanghe East, and Jieji, as well as one Sihong service area. After the completion of the project, it can not only better meet the transportation needs of enterprises and people along the road, but also have important significance for strengthening external communication in Suqian, driving the development of characteristic industries and cultural tourism industries along the road, and forming new growth poles.
This project aims to build an intelligent highway management system that integrates video surveillance, data transmission, toll management, emergency alarm, and other functions. Among them, as the core equipment of network communication, the performance and reliability of switches are crucial for the stable operation of the entire system. During the project implementation process, we fully considered the geographical environment, climate conditions, and future changes in traffic flow, and adopted a series of advanced technologies and products to ensure the smooth implementation and long-term stable operation of the project.
Project requirements and challenges
In order to ensure the safe operation and efficient management of highways, this project proposes the following key requirements:
High definition video surveillance: covering key locations of highway service stations, including entrances, exits, gas stations, parking areas, etc., requiring high-definition, wide-angle, and night vision functions.
Real time video monitoring and analysis: The central monitoring center needs to have real-time monitoring and analysis capabilities, which can automatically detect and identify safety hazards such as fires, accidents, and illegal activities, and generate alerts automatically.
High network reliability: Considering the geographical and climatic conditions of the project, network equipment needs to meet industrial standards and be able to operate stably for a long time in harsh environments.
Efficient data transmission: Provides high bandwidth and low latency data transmission capabilities, supports fast transmission of large capacity data, and ensures stable transmission of real-time video and data.
Benchu Group, with its profound technical accumulation and rich experience in the field of intelligent transportation, has tailored a professional switch application solution for the Su Si section project of the Yanluo Expressway. This solution uses two switches, IES7521-24GE8GFC4TF-AC as the core, and through scientific network architecture design, achieves efficient support for highway network video communication and station toll data transmission systems.
01. Ring network structure design: A total of 126 switches were deployed on the project site, forming 6 ring network structures, each containing approximately 20 switches. This ring network design not only improves the reliability and redundancy of the network, but also ensures the rapid recovery of communication in the event of network failures, ensuring the continuous transmission of data.
02. Hierarchical network architecture: Adopting a three-layer network architecture consisting of access layer, aggregation layer, and core layer. The access layer switch is responsible for collecting data from various devices on site (such as vehicle videos, alarm information, etc.), and uploading the data to the backend management system through the aggregation layer switch. This hierarchical design makes the network structure clear and easy to manage.
